–Few years ago we suggested that the role of politics and the State in the automobile industry (SAPAI) had to be included in Gerpisa’s research program
– 2007- 2011 programme on the automobile industry and sustainable development have introduced these questions
–The role of public policies in social, economic and environmental sustainability of the industry is central for automobile revolution
–The economic crisis has given even more relevance to these policies both at local, national, European and international level.
– Gerpisa’s analysis of the crisis so far has centred more around the impact on automobile companies.
–Freyssenet-Jetin paper about the US shows the need for an overall analysis of the European side of the crisis
